Consilium’s growth has been the result of many minds and hearts working together to build a better system, and its evolution reminds me of the 12th century theologian and author John of Salisbury’s phrasing in his 1159 treatise on logic, Metalogicon, when he wrote: Like dwarfs standing on the shoulders of giants, we see more not because our sight is better nor because we are taller than others, but because those that came before us raise us up, and by their great stature add to ours.
The Book:
Dissolution to Evolution: Navigating Your Divorce Through The Consilium ® Process is the result of clients having confided in us and trusted in the Consilium Process, and the collective experiences of our work with colleagues, mentors, friends and family. We hope it will be a useful guide for professionals and clients alike, and we are thrilled to offer it to you on our website.
The Website:
We’ve had the enormous pleasure of working with Joe Giacobbe of Palley Advertising to rework (and rename) our website so that it speaks more globally to the before, during and after journey of marriage, family restructurings and divorce. Joe’s patience, creativity and unflappable nature have made our journey an exceptional one and we hope you find the result speaks clearly to our process. Please visit us at TheConsiliumPath.Com, and know that our former website now links to that site.
The Team:
We are thrilled to welcome Atty. Kelly McIntosh to our team. Kelly received her B.A. from Duke University and her J.D. and M.B.A. from Boston College. She practiced corporate law at Bingham Dana and Goodwin Procter before becoming the first Associate Development Attorney at Ropes & Gray. She then worked as a legal career counselor at Boston College Law School and Boston University School of Law while raising her two children. Kelly’s love of counseling led to her next role as a victim advocate for Domestic Violence Services Network, supporting clients seeking restraining orders at the Concord District Court. Having become interested in family law through her domestic violence work, she was drawn to the Consilium Process and our unique practice incorporating the financial, legal and emotional aspects of divorce and family restructuring.
The Consilium ® DC Certification:
Over the course of the past year while working with Kelly to teach her the Consilium ® Process, I developed curriculum to be taught and deployed through The Consilium Institute. We are planning our first Consilium ® DC attorney certification program for this fall. If you’re an attorney who’d like to learn more about our upcoming program (or know someone who might be), please email info@theconsiliumpath.com and a member of our team will be in touch with more details.
We wish you all an enjoyable and safe summer.
